Agricultural Education
Their are three parts to getting the most out of your agricultural science courses: Instruction, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) and FFA.

Instruction is accomplished just by attending the agricultural science class in which you enrolled.

It is my hope that you will want to take what you learn in the classroom and apply it to the real world, whether that be through part-time employment in the particular subject area or having a project from home that would help you better understand the subject matter being taught.

The third part of Agricultural Education is the student organization, FFA. By joining the FFA, you become part of the largest student organization in the country. You learn leadership skills and have scholarship opportunities available to them.

Agricultural Science Courses at a Glance
Introduction to World Agriculture:

This course is typically taken by our freshman students. The curriculum involves an introduction to the FFA Program, the History of Agriculture and World Agricultural Markets.

Animal Science:

This Course focuses on anatomy and physiology of large animals, along with nutrition & genetics. Breeds of different livestock species will also be covered.

Home Maintenance & Improvement:

Basic Skills necessary to keep a home running will be covered. Basic electricity, plumbing & wood-working are all activities we will learn.

Applied Agricultural Science:

This is another course that is typically taken by freshman or first year agricultural science students. This course is designed to introduce students to a large range of agricultural fields. With so many careers in agriculture, we are certain something in this course will be of interest to each student. This will allow students to focus on that area of interest in future courses.
