I want to welcome you and your child to the Agriscience Department at Montgomery High School. My name is Bob Strader. This is my 14th year here at Montgomery High School and my 27th year to teach. I will be teaching the following classes this year. Intro To Ag. Mechanics, Ag. Mechanics I, Ag. Mechanics II and Animal Science. While in the Intro to Ag. Mechanics your child will be able to recieve their NCCR Certification in Core Safety.I also serve an FFA advisor. If you need to contact me; I can be reached at

Intro To Ag. Mechanics:
In this course students will be working in the areas of tool safety, electricity, oxy-actylene welding, arc welding, wood working.
Ag. Mechanics I:
This course is a continuation of the Intro To Ag. Mechanics course. In the class student will be refining their skills in the different areas. Students will also be constructing project for competition.
Ag. Mechanics II:
This class is designed for students to refine their mechanical skill for possible employment once they leave our program. Students will also be constructing projects for competition.
With all course that envolve work in the shop. Each student must pass a shop safety exam in which the student must make a 90 or better.
Animal Science:
Students will have a basic knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology. Students will also cover animal rights and other topics concerning animals in todays society.
