Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills
The TAKS test is given to each 9th, 10th and 11th grade student in the state of Texas. This test focuses on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills in the areas of Reading/Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. Students must pass the 11th grade exit level tests to graduate from high school; students who do not pass will have session in the summer and during their Senior year to re-take any portion that was not passed during the previous administration.

Tutoring is offered here at MHS for all students. In addition to tutoring, the websites below will help students review for TAKS:

On this site are two key links. The second link "TAKS released tests" shows you the makeup of last year's test. Also, there is a link to the TAKS Information Booklets. These are booklets given to each student that fail a ortion of the test during the previous year.
