All about Mrs. Villemez

I've been teaching English for 21 years and continue to enjoy the challenges and creativity involved in teaching.I'm originally from Connecticut, attended St.Edward's University in Austin and Lamar University in Beaumont. My family and I moved to Montgomery 7 years ago and live on Lake Conroe.

I am inspired by great minds and creative thinkers. "Keep that in mind!" I love to read and listen to music.

It is my goal to enrich your educational experience through literature.

Course Description: American literature is the study of the influences and subsequent development of literature beginning with the Native American oral tradition through modern/contemporary selections. We will study the authors and their themes. One common theme that will be discussed is the American Dream. In addition to the study of literature, a major component of this course is writing (not only for the TAKS Exit test but also the SAT test and research papers).
