Welcome to Career and Technology! My name is Chris Disser and I teach Business Computer Information Systems 1, Desktop Publishing and Business Image Management and Multimedia. This is my eigth year to teach at Montgomery High School. I am looking forward to a successful and pleasurable year.
In BCIS 1 the students will learn all of the Microsoft Office 2003 Software during this year long course. They will work with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, Windows, HTML and career development. The students learn to use their imaginations and creativity when creating their own presentations and career reports. They learn how to create and develop spreadsheets and create database files.
In Business Image Management and Multimedia, the students learn Photoshop for graphics management, Dreamweaver for web design, PowerPoint for presentations, Sony Movie Studio for movies, and Microsoft Publisher for print design. This is a year long course.
Desktop Publishing focuses on print media. Students learn Adobe Photoshop for graphics management and Microsoft Publisher for print design and set up. Students will exhibit their creativity while creating flyers, books, newsletters, brochures, and various reports. Desktop Publishing is a one semester course.
Once again, I am looking forward to a successful and very productive year with these students. I want to bring the real world into the classroom for my students and help them have a successful future!
