Creative Activities spark the interest of students!

It is extremely important that you come to class each and every time we meet. If you miss class you will be behind and it will be your responsibility to catch up and ask me what you need to make up. It does concern me when you are absent so I will check on you! Please come to school!

We will go into the Housing industry, jobs in housing, home design, how homes are built, different types of homes and much more. You might be pairing this with Interior Design next semester to make an entire year. If you are taking Interior Design in the Spring it will be extremely important that you keep up with your Housing details as you will be using that information in Interior Design as well.

We will be discovering why you hear the statement "You are what you eat" and we will discover what the foods you eat are REALLY made of. Do you feel great or do you have that yuck feeling some days, it might be what you have or have not eaten.

In Prep for Parenting we will be investigating all about the rewards and responsibilities of parenting. Even if you never have children of your own this will be a great experience because everyone has situations where they have to deal with children and wonder just "why do they act that way?". We will have a great time!

Hi, Howdy, Hello!!!!
This is my 8th year to teach in the Family & Consumer Science Area in the CTE (Career, Technology & Education)Department of MHS. I'm a Mom of 3 daughters that range in ages from 25 to 4 and I have a darling 2 year old grandson. My husband and I live on a working cattle ranch and I might just be the only teacher at MHS who travels 167 miles round trip to teach. I LOVE Montgomery High School and when I moved to Leon County 6 years ago it Never crossed my mind to leave my teaching position at MHS. I am looking forward to teaching each and every student who enters my room and I hope to meet as many parents as possible.
