Math Models is designed to help a student who has struggled with math. Develop a positive attitude and make a commitment to succeed. Math Models will also help a student become better prepared for the TAKS test.
Mathematical modeling is the process of examining a given situation or "real world" problems and then developing an equation, formula, table, or graph that correctly represents the main feature of the situation. This is the application of mathematics to life situations--wallpapering your room, budgeting your money, using a credit card, predicting future outcomes from current data. In this course, you will derive algebraic equations, use formulas, draw and intrepret graphs, and analyze many situations mathematically.
