The 2000-2001 Lady Bear State Champion Team won the First Ever State Championship in school history by winning a sudden death playoff on the first hole.

This Lady Bear Team broke the Class 4-AAAA UIL State Record for the number of consecutive championships won! Not only did they win they set the State 4-A record score with a team total of 610. This Lady Bear Team "continued the tradition of excellence" by setting yet another record low score. Their 606 was awesome and Sophomore, Lisa McCloskey, did what no other MHS golfer had done before, win the Individual State Title.
